Responsibilities

Seeking motivated candidates interested in performing various civil engineering tasks supporting project managers and collaborating with the team on Roadway projects. You will be able to lead preliminary engineering and final design tasks for projects, including developing geometric alignments, profiles, modeling, design sections, grading design, drainage, construction details, traffic signal plans, and signing and striping projects. You will also be expected to manage the work of and mentor young engineers and analysts on the roadway team, fostering growth and creating opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification required; PE license strongly preferred
  • Three or more years of experience working on the design of roadway projects in Indiana for INDOT and local clients
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation/Inroads/ORD and Civil 3D
  • Design experience with roundabouts and intersection improvements, drainage computations and design, and traffic element design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with INDOT project development process
