26709 – Senior Applications Engineer FT 1st Shift Houston, TX – Seeking Military Affiliation
Senior Applications Engineer to support customer onboarding and training for the users of our Max Portal. The role will consist of equipment data collection, data entry, customer training, and troubleshooting/website maintenance. Business will be conducted from an office environment, but frequent trips to the field and customer sites will be required.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
– Database building with internal and external customer equipment information.
– Touring company locations and customer sites to collect equipment data. Most will be in an office atmosphere, but some work may occur in harsh outdoor environments.
– Coordinate with business units to customize virtual dashboards and manipulate data displays.
– Write simple computer code as required to meet business needs.
– Conduct on-site and remote user training using provided software.
– Present information clearly and effectively to all levels of the customer's organization.
– Answer questions and relay suggestions made to proper internal entities.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
– A Mechanical or Electrical Technology degree will also be considered.
– 5 or more years of professional engineering experience
– Oil and gas experience.
– Detail oriented and very organized.
– Computer programming and spreadsheet management
– Experience in teaching and technical training.
– Comfortable speaking to large groups and small teams.
– Must be willing to learn the basic components of mechanical and petrochemical equipment.
– Willingness to work as needed in hot, cold, and dirty environments.
– Willingness to learn new computer skills that can be expanded over time.
– Willingness to travel 20%-30% of the time.
